Daily Poster Series

These are selected posters from a daily poster series. These posters are made from visual manipulation of hand made drawings or images and organization of program made vector elements.

LoneWolf Series

The Lonewolf is a character series characterizing an the outsider individual; he/she whom operates outside the norm. This series was created at a polarizing time of my creative practice, these images came from frustration, division and unsettlement.

To make my digital work make a hand drawing and manipulate it digitally. I Find hand drawn elements carry a unique quality not attainable by the digital.

REVIVAL MAGAZINE: RUDE BOY SERIES

digital collage

2018

I often find myself leaning towards depicting tongue and cheek, rude behavior in my characters. This comes from my interest in engaging peoples perception of things they may not actively question. Why do particular symbols, gestures, and works engage such dramatic reactions in us? With this in mind, I want to provoke the viewer with these personally sourced examples, to look again and ask questions about the bigger picture.

Revival Magazine Issue No.15 was about Reaction. The following works were created with that premise in mind.

Wacko Cross the Street

Bully in the Yard

For these works I create the textures and drawings by hand then manipulate them digitally. These works are spray painted walls and ink drawings.

SIR Magazine Issue 14 followed the theme of Respecting the Moment. These works exemplify the fleeting nature of the moment.

The characters in these works are all prominent figures from my childhood. These cartoon mascots hold interesting relevance to how fast the moment passes. These characters though monumental during their moment are destined to fall into irrelevance as with everything. These pieces operate as dulled inaccurate memories of these characters. Such a cycle is a reminder to value and respect the current moment.
